Robyn Lederman`s Global Expertise Boosts Firm`s Growing Practice
Southfield, Mich., September 21, 2011 – Brooks Kushman P.C. is pleased to announce it is expanding its trademark practice with the addition of Robyn Lederman in the firm`s Southfield, Michigan headquarters. Lederman returns to the growing intellectual property law firm where she previously was an Associate. As a part of the copyright, trade secret, and trademark groups, Robyn will focus on advising clients on global branding strategy, trademark and domain name counseling, clearance, protection, and enforcement.

Robyn Lederman comes to Brooks Kushman from Cantor Colburn LLP, where she was Senior Trademark Counsel for more than five years. Robyn`s trademark expertise crosses into a unique area—she practiced for more than seven years in the Herzelia, Israel office of law firm Eitan, Pearl, Latzer, Cohen-Zedek, where she honed her expertise dealing with trademark issues across borders in what has become known as “the start-up nation.” Her experience in Israel fostered longstanding relationships and allows Robyn a keen understanding of the global trademark arena and navigating the intricacies of bringing overseas trademarks into the U.S.
Named a “Top Lawyer” by dBusiness magazine in 2011, Robyn is a member of the State Bars of Michigan and New York. She was appointed to the Famous & Well-Known Marks Committee of the International Trademarks Association (INTA), where she has been actively involved since 2008.
Throughout her career, Robyn has shown a deep commitment to the Detroit area. She was named a recipient of “The Comeback Award” by ePrize, which honors talent returning to Michigan. Robyn also currently serves as Executive Board Member of the Michigan Israel Business Bridge (MIBB), which aims to diversify the economy and bring jobs to Michigan through Israel connections. She sits on the Boards of Hillel of Metro Detroit and Jewish Family Services.
