Southfield, Mich. – Brooks Kushman Associate Fanqi Meng has been selected to represent the firm in the 2020 Pathfinder Program with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
The LCLD Pathfinder Program is a renowned national program that provides diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys with practical tools, like internal professional networks through relationship building skills, foundational leadership skills, and an understanding of career development strategies. It also offers participants in-person meetings, online experiential learning, Compass Conversations with LCLD Fellows, program facilitators, and peer networking.
Meng focuses his practice on patent prosecution and litigation in the electrical arts, and computer systems. He has experience conducting patent portfolio analysis and Freedom to Operate research, as well as patent searches and landscape analysis. Prior to joining Brooks Kushman, Meng spent three years working as a patent practitioner in Beijing, China, conducting various patent practices. He has extensive experience in handling clients from various parts of the world including the US, EU, Greater China Region, and Japan. He also has significant experience drafting patent applications and responses to office actions, as well as conducting various patent practices in computer systems and electronics.
Meng received his Juris Doctor from University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center). Prior to becoming a patent practitioner, Meng majored in Microelectronics and has extensive experience in integrated circuit designs. Particularly, he has experience in VLSI (very large scale integration) designs.
