Southfield, Mich – Chanille Carswell, a trademark attorney at Intellectual Property law firm Brooks Kushman, will be one of the members presenting at a seminar on Thursday, December 6, on intellectual property law and issues for leading Michigan statewide arts and cultural advocacy organization ArtServe Michigan. The seminar will be part of the launch of ArtServe Michigan`s new statewide initiative Lawyers for the Creative Economy (LCE).
Lawyers for the Creative Economy (LCE) aims to provide resources to the creative industry for understanding copyright, trademark, patent, licensing, and contracts. Attorneys involved with LCE will provide free or low-fee IP advice and support to professionals and organizations seeking legal services. LCE will also provide professional development seminars across the state for artists and creative practitioners to help them develop essential legal knowledge.
Chanille Carswell, will present at a two-hour seminar on December 6
th familiarizing creative practitioners with the basic issues of intellectual property,specifically related to trademarks.
