LOS ANGELES, CA – Brooks Kushman is pleased to announce the addition of Shareholder David A. Randall to the firm’s Los Angeles office. The move further expands the firm’s presence in the greater Los Angeles area.
Randall brings more than 20 years of experience to the firm’s Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on patent, trademark and trade secret disputes. He has also counseled clients in the development and management of worldwide intellectual property portfolios.
“David has a wealth of experience in a wide variety of intellectual property matters both domestically and around the world,” said Mark Cantor, president of Brooks Kushman. “I am excited to welcome him to our team as we continue to grow our presence in the Los Angeles area. David also bolsters our firm’s experience in post-grant proceedings – as he has represented clients in over 20 inter partes review proceedings.”
Prior to joining Brooks Kushman, Randall was a partner with Sheppard Mullin, a general practice law firm, where he focused on intellectual property litigation and portfolio management. He has also counseled clients on post-grant proceeding matters with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He represents clients in a broad range of industries, including cellular, consumer products, medical device, manufacturing, aerospace and electronics.

Randall holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University. He is admitted to practice in California; the U.S. District Courts in the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida; and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
