SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – Brooks Kushman Registered Patent Agent Stephanie Mansfield will present at Wayne State University`s (WSU) Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training (BEST) Program on Nov. 4, 2014.
Mansfield will serve on a panel to discuss alternative career paths for students interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property (IP) law.
Mansfield has nearly two decades of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biomedical and mechanical arts. She speaks regularly on IP protection within the biomedical and life science industries.
Mansfield holds a Doctorate and Master of Science in biomedical engineering and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University.
The BEST Program provides students with information about the employment opportunities in biomedical science across six career areas – law, business, communication, teaching, community engagement and government. The program is designed to provide students with additional knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects that can increase their job prospects, encourage innovation and foster entrepreneurship.
