SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Managing Intellectual Property is hosting the second annual Global Trademark Roadshow in multiple cities across the United States, including Los Angeles, where Brooks Kushman president Mark Cantor will be speaking. Shareholder Ben Stasa will also be moderating a panel. At each city location, panels will be led by experts in the industry, and there will be an array of opportunities for in-house trademark and IP counsel to learn more about the global trademark marketplace and the developments in global trademarks through engaging talks and networking.
Cantor will be discussing when it makes sense to litigate. He will be specifically focusing on balancing enforcement and business costs, and what to do when an enforcement goes viral and threatens your reputation.
Cantor, one of Brooks Kushman`s founding partners, leads the firm`s active litigation practice and is involved in much of the major litigation handled by the firm. He has extensive experience in dealing with complex litigation matters in all technology areas and has tried cases relating to patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights in state and federal courts throughout the country and in a number of international forums.
Cantor is specifically recognized for his trademark litigation practice. Due to his success in this field, several of Brooks Kushman’s largest clients look to Mark for trademark enforcement matters. To date, he has served as counsel in over 300 trademark infringement matters.
Cantor earned a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Detroit. He also holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science, both in civil engineering, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
