Brooks Kushman Welcomes New Summer Associates

ROYAL OAK, Michigan – Brooks Kushman is excited to welcome Alex Turk, Brett Hostert, Hope Techlin, Madeline Kopp, and Tia Smith as our newest Summer Associates!

Alex Turk is a current master’s student, working on his MS in Information Systems from the University of Michigan – Dearborn. He also earned his BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He will be attending Michigan State University College of Law this fall. Alex will be primarily working with our patent prosecution group.

Brett Hostert just completed his 1L summer at the University of Michigan Law School. He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. Brett will primarily work with our patent prosecution group.

Hope Techlin is an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, studying Electrical Engineering with a minor focus in Art and Design. She will be working primarily with our litigation group.

Madeline Kopp just completed her 2L at Rutgers Law School. She earned her BS in Global Cultural Studies Program in Literature/Policy Journalism and a certificate in Media Studies from Duke University.

Tia Smith is in her 1L at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She earned her BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Michigan State University.
