SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman Shareholder Martin Sultana will present during the Sensors Expo and Conference on September 28, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.
Sultana will discuss recent trends in software patentability with a focus on obtaining patent protection for different software related inventions. He will also provide general tips for drafting and prosecuting software related patent applications to respond to patent examiner rejections under various U.S. patent laws.
Sultana’s practice focuses on domestic and international patent prosecution in the electrical, electromechanical, and software arts. He has extensive experience in the sensors industry and regularly consults clients on the development and management of their patent portfolio.
Sultana has over a decade of engineering experience and has been in the initial design and successful launch of several electrical/electronic components during his engineering tenure. Sultana has also acquired a significant amount of manufacturing experience prior to becoming a patent attorney. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Wayne State University.
