SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman is pleased to announce Shareholder Robyn Lederman has been appointed to serve as Co-Chair of the firm’s Trademark practice. Lederman joined Brooks Kushman in 2002 and has been instrumental in growing and developing the firm’s global footprint and expertise in trademark law.
“We expect great things from Robyn as she moves into this new role,” said Brooks Kushman President Mark Cantor. “She has excelled as a shareholder, and we are confident that she will continue to serve as a leader, mentor and advocate for the trademark team in her new role within the firm.”
Lederman has more than 25 years of experience in both U.S. and international trademark law. Her clients include some of the world’s most prominent brands with whom she counsels on global branding strategies to clear, protect and enforce trademarks and their impact on the business. Prior to joining Brooks Kushman, Lederman worked at a technology law firm in Israel and continues to connect and create partnerships between Israeli innovators and Michigan investors. She also has worked on economic projects for clients in both regions.
Lederman is actively involved in many legal and community organizations in southeastern Michigan. She served on the board of Jewish Family Services, Hillel of Metro Detroit and the founding board of the Michigan Israel Business Bridge. Lederman also served on the International Trademark Association (INTA) Well-Known and Famous Marks and Parallel Imports Committees. A longtime advocate for supporting those who live in work in Detroit, Lederman is passionate about mentoring start-ups, and actively volunteers with Retooling Detroit, a literacy program in Detroit Public Elementary Schools.
