SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – Brooks Kushman P.C. is pleased to announce that associate Anna K. Robinson has been named a 2016 “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Michigan Lawyers Weekly will recognize the 2016 Up & Coming Lawyers at an awards luncheon on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy, Michigan.
Robinson was recognized as a 2016 “Up & Coming Lawyer” for her leadership within the legal community and commitment to client service. In addition to her work in the legal and local community, she promotes the importance of trademark and copyright pro bono work. She remains dedicated to the State Bar of Michigan, Arts Communications Entertainment & Sports Section and has done so since she was in law school. She was also recognized for her commitment and efforts in helping artists and those in the creative sector protect and promote their intellectual property.
Robinson focuses on the clearance, filing, maintenance and enforcement of trademark rights and copyright protection and enforcement work. Her practice also involves trade dress, internet and entertainment law. Robinson has diverse experience managing client portfolios, providing clearance opinions, devising filing strategies, negotiating agreements and defending intellectual property rights.
Robinson earned her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University in Detroit, graduating cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Young Lawyers Section, Intellectual Property Law Section and Arts, Communications, Entertainment, & Sports Section Chair), Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association, International Trademark Association (Pro-bono Committee) and the Copyright Society of the U.S.A.
