Bernie believes that a well-trained engineer is one of the most valuable IP resources a company can have. Accordingly, Bernie works closely with clients’ engineering teams to ensure that everyone has a good grasp of how to identify and codify any inventive concepts that develop during ongoing engineering processes.
An avid thinker and an enthusiast of creative brainstorming, Bernie will challenge inventors to push creative boundaries to full expand inventive concepts. Through careful discussion and educated insight, Bernie engages inventors in discussions that result in claims encompassing far more than the inventors' initial concepts. Through this interaction, Bernie helps ensure that the patents he drafts deliver the full complement of protection to which the inventors are entitled.
